Do I need prior PLC experience to attend?+
No prior PLC experience is required for Modules 1–3. A basic understanding of electrical circuits and industrial controls is helpful but not essential. Electrical graduates with no PLC background complete this course successfully.
What software do I need to bring?+
All software is provided on training laptops. Individual participants also receive a 30-day Studio 5000 student activation to continue practising after training. You may bring your own Windows laptop — installation support is provided on Day 1.
Is this course available online or in person only?+
The standard course is delivered in person at our Brisbane facility. Corporate and group bookings can be delivered at your site anywhere in Australia — including FIFO locations. We do not offer a purely online version as hands-on hardware access is fundamental to the learning outcomes.
Can the course be customised for our industry or processes?+
Yes. Group and corporate bookings include curriculum customisation. If your team works in mining, water treatment, food processing, or oil & gas, we adapt lab exercises and fault scenarios to reflect your actual plant environment.
